I got the s7 recentlybas well. Honestly, its ok. Nothing too crazy about it. Thnak god for micro sd card support. The external material is awful afwul awful; a case or skin is practically required if you dont want to see all those greasy fingerprints. I just picked up the Galaxy S6, and I just can't wrap my head around why people would buy the S7. The only advantage is the water and dust resistance.
The S6 card slot is redundant. I have the 32 GB version, and with Google Drive, Show Box, Netflix and Tidal, more space just doesn't make sense.
Other than those two things, one of which unnecessary, the S7 is hardly an improvement from the S6, yet it's a lot more expensive.
Also all Edge versions are overpriced gimmicks. Bad handle, and more fragile. Also good luck ever rooting an S7.

In short? No, spend your money on shit you need. The camera is utterly amazing, OIS is a godsend - you can take instant photos and not one of them is out of focus or blurry. The autofocus is insane too. I don't use my Canon DSLR at all anymore, the connectivity means I can email or send those photos to anywhere or anyone. You can also save as RAW.

T-Mobile is not even close to the cheapest carrier in the US. Even at those grandfathered prices. Going grouped into a cricket plan is 20/month, and some of the sprint MVNOs go far lower than that. Hell, Ting starts out at $6/month pay-as-you-go.
My personal problem with pretty much all the Galaxy phones is that while they're all the most spec'd out Android phones with beautiful designs, they've always got fucking problems.
Maybe it's just me and my m8s, but we all had Samsung phones fail at some point. My S4's SD card reader failed after a year, my friend's S6 just overheats and performs like shit, and and my friend's S5 basically could never send texts. Touchwiz isn't that bad but it's a resource hog.
I also hate that they're all locked up and you can't install custom ROMs on them. And even if you did, the Note would lose the S-Pen and the Edge would be useless
