I dunno, they must because advertisers pay money to advertise.

I ask myself this as well. If I see something in an ad I might like, I go to the website by entering the Url, and looking at similar products that are often better value, and do research on who has the cheapest deal if I'm serious about buying it.

But that has never happened in my 17 years of Internet usage.
