Am I retarded? Or does eclipse not support javascript out of the box??

What the flying fucking piss do I have to do to make it autocomplete javascript? It took me fucking forever to get it to show the javadoc... Why is this shit turned off by default anyway!!? Fucking hell I wish netbeans had better typescript support and I could get spring boot working in it.

Eclipse is for Java, even then it's kind of a pain in the balls to get running right.
for js I use codepen.io or jsfiddle.net
They are webbased but I haven't found an ide that works with javascript as well. Or I just use vim. Some people say they liked brackets, but I wasn't impressed.

You could try atom, it has webdev code completion out of the box. Hating on atom is one of /g/'s favorite memes though.

Addition: If you can make emacs work, it's the best
https://truongtx.me/2014/04/20/emacs-javascript-completion-and-refactoring
You still need some form of autism or an IQ nearing 120-130 to make emacs work.
