I've actually used the knife on my leatherman the least out of all it's other functions. I'd still carry it even if it was just pliers and the two screwdriver bits

I work in an office and I still find a pocket knife useful. Boxes, packages, zip ties, food (fuck plastic knives)

I use my stanley for opening packages, chamfering PVC, as a lever, cleaning up silicone and as a marker.
The blade is certainly sharp, but not long enough to useful for self-defense.

I use my knife everyday for utilitarian purposes
I'm not saying you need to carry around a 6-inch combat knife with you everywhere you go, but a simple leatherman or swiss army will get you far
