It has good resolution, still good for a dvd/netflix portable screen.
Try installing Windows 10! Seriously I want to see if it will work.
It might complain about the Graphics drivers, install Windows 10 anyway, there should be away to get the old drivers to work.

Install Windows 7/8/10 on it and use it like any other computer. It's a little old, but will get the job done fine. Use an internet browser which does require a lot of memory, so either Firefox or Edge (or even IE if you're already using it).
The 1900x1200 screen is pretty sweet. Windows 10 with a high DPI setting will look great on that. Emulated games will also be able to use shaders and the like to get a nice image, but beware of lag.
You could also sell it to a teenager. They'll like that high res screen a lot.

It's good for watching HD movies since it has a 1920x1200 screen. I'm curious as to whether that CPU and GPU together will play a 4k video file with a decent bitrate, because that will really look good on that laptop's monitor.

I have that same model but with a 900p resolution. It was pretty good for it's time back in 2007 and can play some pre 2007 games at 900p. Only real issue with it is that media button eats 200MB of data whenever you press it to activate the movie viewer or whatever it's called>>53652666
and doesn't give it back. Not kidding, it's a known issue. For video viewing it won't handle 4k but 1200p and lower should do well. It also works very well with all Linux distros I've tested.
