This.
One GMail inbox for random stuff, one GMail inbox for vidya/forums sign ups, one self-hosted mail for important stuff. Using Thunderbird.
Gmail for the important shit and Tutanota for everything else.

gmail default, protonmail ready but waiting for more usability things like imap access (with clientside pgp)
thunderbird as client, web UIs are cancer because I want instant push notifications and don't want to have to keep a browser tab open for it. Protonmail finally got semi-usable with the mobile clients that give you push notifications at least
I host my own mail server. As for a client, I use Thunderbird at home and the default Android e-mail app on the go.
Gmail for spam and Zoho + own domain for real things.
Google for shit I couldn't care less about and tutanota, mainly because the app gives you a notification if you get an email, for things that have at least some importance
Well Thunderbird itself recommends https://www.gandi.net/ can anyone comment on it?
I use Mailbird on Windows, Airmail on OS X, Cloudmagic on iOS.
