I now remember why I dumped this shit for FreeBSD five years ago.
I'm trying to reinstall Xubuntu on a laptop and I can't even get it to format the hard drive again.

It finally worked after about five reboots. I had to wipe the drive in gpart and reformat it as something else first.
It's still garbage that it mixes operating system and third party software configuration files together.
Oh well, it will work for the garage computer.
