Hey /g/ - i have a pentium 4 1.7ghz 768mb of ram
PATA slots ....
I'm thinking of making this a server or something. maybe dual booting Arch + XP to have a retro games machine... What can i do with this on arch?
I'm thinking of wanting to run : Docker, Mongo, MySql, Node, nginx+php and Mono + ASP vNext - all in small quantities (Kinda just to have a test and benchmark shit) and not all these at once. just to have a server that i can just have...
As well as something like samba or vsftpd for a file server system
Also I have a 320GB HDD and a 80GB HDD - the 320GB is significantly slow as fuck (from someone elses' machine), the 80GB is a god damn unhuman juggernaut that's pretty ok
One of these is going in my 486, one of these in the pentium 4... you chose - Currently it has about 40GB (the p4 - the 486 has a fucking 305MB HDD) Also anyone know if grub can work on a 486 - like i want to multiboot between Win95 (or maybe i'll just go back to Dos 6.22\Win3.11) and freedos
