There's this thing called saving. If you earn anything more than neetbux/minimum wage, it doesn't take too long to save up for stuff.
And when it comes to multi GPU setups you could get one first to have a finished computer and get the other at a later time.
And the drives are accumulated over time I'm assuming.

I don't need a new monitor. When wide screens first started popping up almost 10 years ago I thought it was a meme that would soon go away like netbooks. It didn't.
When I start doing web dev freelancing, I'll think about it, but even then I doubt I'll need it.
