>Android gets a desktop-style floating window mode, and there's even mouse support.
IT'S HAPPENING
IT'S OVER, MICROSOFT IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT
nobody wants or needs this

It's over Chinese botnet remix is finished
y tho. Using Android with a mouse sucks, the UI is explicitly designed for touch screens and it's super oversized for mouse usage.
Tiling is good, that could be useful on tablets, maybe phones depending on the apps. But floating is just a mess to use with a touchscreen.

Finally. That OS looks sketchy as fuck

Android has had mouse support for years. The biggest problem is that apps still don't act like desktop programs. Right click is ignored 99.9% of the time. You still have to "long press" by holding down the mouse button over something. Drag-and-drop is non-existent. Copy and paste/text selection is still a wonky mess. This won't put Android on the desktop any more than RemixOS did.
>Android is definitely not set up to keep multiple apps alive at once. You can see that the browser unloads its contents. YouTube won't play in the background, either.
It's nothing.

>apps still don't act like desktop programs
And they never should.
This is a mistake seeing as android handles mulitasking badly or maybe we will see the 16 GB RAM meme finally hitting the android phones too.
>We will not have a convergent OS in this decade
Both Microsoft and Canonical fucked up and their systems are dead on arrival. Unless Android improves by leaps and bounds in the next two iterations we'll be stuck with these shitty gimmicks

>Google is jewing out on 2 particular apps and makes you pay to run them in BG
>therefore the OS is not capable
huh?
>all this complicated shit
>still using shitty on-screen, space-wasting buttons
>still have recents and back buttons in the wrong place
>still no percentage in the battery icon natively
>more space wasting
>more stupid animations
Jesus fuck when are they going to stop messing about with shitty gimmicks and fix the basics?
>Muhterial design on the desktop
I wanted this.

underrated
>>53606975
Wow it's actually more capable than chrome OS what the fuck
>>53607908
Right click binds to the long press action by default you nob.
Only if it is overrided in app does it do anything different.
