What is the best way to uninstall (completely) apps on Mac? The /g/ wiki lists CCleaner and AppCleaner as recommended software, but when I have been searching for answers I have seen advice that using programs like these to remove apps on OSX is unreliable.
How do the Macfags of /g/ uninstall applications that they did not install through the App Store?

brew uninstall ...
1. remove the .app in Applications
2. remove eventually existing shared data in user data or options in ~/Library/Application
thats it.
uninstall through AppCleaner.
