Why would you store anything in RAM? Storage is for STORING, RAM is cache, yeah, you can use a RAM drive for cache aka temporary storage, I use the huge portion of RAM on my video workstation as a RAM disk when I play some shooters or mobas and cache them on it so it will load faster...

Well you'd still need physical storage. This is more about how to better/implement rams efficiency.
However it is possible to use it as a storage device. just don't unplug the power.
This may become a future system of storage with the improvement of battery and upcoming quantum technologys.
