I just switched to using DejaVu Sans Mono in Lxterminal, i like it so far.
Monaco, DejaVu Sans Mono, Source Code Pro, switch between all of them about once a week.

Consolas, I like my typefaces proprietary.
I use comic sans for ironic purposes but then I got used to it and normal fonts bother me now.

Oh and I forgot to mention, you should never use these fonts with any sort of smoothing on. They look like diarrhea if you do. The IBM VGA8 one also only looks good on multiples of 12pt.
