Why aren't you using Apricity OS yet, /g/?

>looks beautiful

>Arc theme + Numix circle icons
Wow so beautiful!
>>
Great, it's the Ubuntu of Arch.
>>
>>53592207

Because I'm not one of those people who snigger about Apple 24/7 on /g/ only to use a cheap OSX ripoff as my OS
>>
>>53592207
>even more niche than vanilla arch, antergos or manjaro
gee, really wonderin why I won't use this
>>
>>53592207

But it's just arch with gnome.

nigger what are you doing
>>

so Arch with Gnome and some nice Themes? That's literally all it is so you can fuck right off
>>
because it's linshit which doesn't work.
>>
just how many of those "OSes" freetards have? every day is a new fucking "OS"
>>
>>53592207
My GNOME Shell basically looks like that anyway.
>>
>>53592207
Because there are a million linux distros and after you try a few they all kinda cease to surprise you so once you found one it's easier to just stick with it than distro-hopping all the time
>>
>>53592279
Well you don't have to waste your time by installing Arch
>>
>>53592346
already did

also it doesn't take that long if you don't have ADHD and can read

Is it safe to use and unbloated? And what about privacy? I have read that it includes Pushbullet, don't want my OS to be bloated.
>>
>>53592346
But the Arch installation doesn't take long at all if you have a short and to-the-point installation guide with you. Actually installs faster than other Linux distros. You can be done and on a fully-functional desktop environment in like 15 minutes.
>>

dropped

only applies if you're not super impatient and can read which doesn't seem to apply to most of /g/

Looks good, but I'm on OS X right now and win7 when I need Visual Studio.

I'll add it to my distro list when I make the switch to Linux !

Thank you OP !

Yes, just about every modern OS has DPI scaling like that.

>Still using Windows

Windows used to be acceptable, back when Linux was hard to use and not easily accessible. But now there are millions of distros to choose from, most of them aimed at user-friendliness. Now there is literally no excuse to be cucked by locked-down consumerist malware like Windows.
>>
>>53592828
Wrong. Windows scaling is kinda terrible. OSX is fairly good. Linux is more adjustable.
>>
muh numix circle
>>
>>53592207
But i'm already using it.
>>
>>53592727
Yes, Linux has good DPI scaling.
It also has good font rendering, and GNOME shell has good looks.
It also has gaming on Steam.
Linux is the best at everything, even the normie stuff.
>>

it was slow and shitty

never again.

it's your fault
>>
>>53593116
The problem is it has 21 billion different distros, each with its problems.
>>

that's why you go for the more populaar distros instead of OPs suggestion

Because any gnome distro with numix installed looks exactly the same.

If I wanted to use arch linux, I wouldn't be using ubuntu. I don't have the time to deal with things breaking like I did when I was younger. And even if I did, I wouldn't want to anymore either.

Doesn't mean you can't install it!
You can build it from source, or use their unofficial repository.

There are many easy tutorials to follow.

More importantly why would anyone think this deserves it's own distro.

Kek, sounds like Elementary OS.

It's a good idea for tech-illiterate normies that don't want to mess with the terminal ever and don't really care about customization.

But those people aren't going to be using Linux anyways.

Audio sounds like shit in Linux, compared to windows.

Needless to say, Windows 7 is working out much better than mint was. Linux isn't ready for the tech illiterate yet.

If not properly configured. I figured that I had to retask my green rear output as headphone rather than speaker out and then everything was fine.

For what? I don't know any linux drivers problems besides printers, but that was fixed a long time ago.

Doesn't mint automatically mounts drives?

Kinda valid if you wanna play the latest AAA games

This only happens on minimal and server installs, and if you're too stupid to configure it during the install.

systemd.conf is the inaugural conference devoted to the systemd project. It aims to bring developers distribution packagers as well as devops professionals together to present, discuss, and work on that topics that will shape the future of the systemd project.

systemd.conf consists of 0-days of talks and 1 day of hacking.

When parsing, systemd will also accept relative time specifications. A time span (see above) that is prefixed with "+" is evaluated to the current time plus the specified time span. Correspondingly, a time span that is prefixed with "-" is evaluated to the current time minus the specified time span. Instead of prefixing the time span with "+" or "-", it may also be suffixed with a space and the word "left" or "ago".

Finally, a timespan prefixed with "@" is evaluated relative to the UNIX time epoch 1st Jan, 1970, 00:00.

Examples for valid timestamps and their normalized form (assuming the current time was 2012-11-23 18:15:22 and the timezone was UTC+8, for example TZ=Asia/Shanghai):

$ systemctl list-timers

NEXT LEFT LAST PASSED UNIT ACTIVATES
Thu 2014-07-10 19:37:03 CEST 11h left Wed 2014-07-09 19:37:03 CEST 12h ago systemd-tmpfiles-clean.timer systemd-tmpfiles-clean.service
Fri 2014-07-11 00:00:00 CEST 15h left Thu 2014-07-10 00:00:13 CEST 8h ago logrotate.timer logrotate.service

For more information about the systemd project refer to the systemd web site.

systemd.conf is a cooperation of the systemd community and LinuxTag e. V. as organizing host.

Thanks to everyone who attended and supported systemd.conf! Let's do it again in <next year>.

Here are the videos & slides from the talks
