Well AMD GPUs will rip through a mobile battery playing youtube videos due to a flaw that they still can't fix after all these years, which require them to drive the ram clock to maximum to prevent the glitch. Nvidia fixed the flaw by the 600 series.
A GTX 980Ti spend 10W playing videos while an R9 290 spend 70W. HBM alleviated the problem somewhat but the problem is still there.

Both multimonitor and video playing will cause the problem. Any AMD owner can simply open up GPU-Z and check the temperature+ram clock and play a video to verify this.
Hardware acceleration used by browsers will also cause the problem.
