I wanna buy a new laptop, this are my needs:
- long lasting battery
- nokia's 3310 like durability
- powerful enough to play dwarf fortress (more power for more dwarf/fps the better)
Money is no obstacle, what I should buy?
A dell xps?
Wait for the new macbook pro (and put window 7 in it)

I recommend macbook retina "12 2015 with 1 usb-c port.
You will also want a wireless usb storage device for your cp, and an iphone to protect your underaged snapchat conversations from the prying eyes of the FBI.
Dell's business class laptops might be the way to go. Both the xps and latitude lines are pretty nice.

I switched from chinkpads as soon as the e series lats cames out. Lenovo quality had been in decline for quite some time and my brother had been using a D830 for years. With the module bay battery, he gets 10+ hrs and it's ridiculously fast with linux. You can't even tell it's a C2D. Anyway, I bought an E6410 and still have it. I sold my shitty chinkpads (all except the T42 - the last one made by IBM) and couldn't be happier. Sad to see a lecacy die like that, but it happens. Also All Dells from the D series up use the same charger, so between me and my brother, we've got like 10.

Even people in the thinkpad generals know that modern Lenovo ThinkPads are just a shadow of their former selves. That's why everyone in those threads have the older IBM models (or very early Lenovo models) .
