>tfw no hyper threading
Well I guess I wasted my money again
yeah, researching what you're buying before you buy it sure is a stupid idea.
I can't believe anyone would actually find out what they're buying with their hard earned money, dumb cunts.
Buy Goyimlake then retard.
If you needed hyper threading then you should haven't bought without research.
>>53583829
What do you need hyperthreading for?
>>53583939
For more fps
>>53583951
0/10 this is way too stale.
ebay it then upgrade
>>53584023
It does impact FPS though
just very slightly.

Wait, Intel is still selling CPU's without Hyperthreading? What the fuck? Fucking shithead kikes - why anyone supports that company is beyond me. Literally the single reason I didn't buy the Zenfone 2 - it'd be perfect if it had a non-Jewtel CPU in it.
>>53583829
Is it a waste if all I built the computer for was emulators, porn, and internet?
>literally the only difference between i5 and i7 is hyperthreading
jesus christ intel is a shitty company

Hmm I wonder which is obviously going to perform better
Intelfaggot's logic

same with a pentium and an i3
HT makes like 1% difference for $100
>>53585233
>twice the threads makes no difference
u wot
>>53583951
You are gravely mistaken, hyper-threading decreases single thread performance, thus decreasing fps unless the game is massively parallelized. I understand that you're just a bait though.
>had Pentium D up to February last year
>it had HT
>upgrade to i5 4440
>no HT
>>53585244
If you think those are real threads kill yourself. The difference in parallel tasks is like 20%.
>>53585267
>HT decreases single thread performance
how? you're trying to fill the empty spaces in the pipeline why would that slow you.
>>53583829
>angry over a meme
>>53585301
Depends on how well the OS supports it.
>>53585328
arent hyper-threaded threads transparent to the OS?
>>53585349
It's scheduler's fault mosty, Windows XP was notorious in that regard. It's like biting more than you can chew.
>>53584482
Nah they're the same
>tfw i5 with hyperthreading
feels good
>>53585399
I5 650 doesn't count
>>53585395
I said i5

I am an AMD fag, and I refuse to believe that 8350 catched up to 6700K. Must be overclocked
>>53585407
It's not a 650
>>53585414
660?
>>53585423
not a 600 series
>>53584895
>6700k
AMD can't even beat a locked i3 in most circumstances let alone an unlocked i7.
>>53585412
It clearly didn't. With dx12 CPU is no longer a bottleneck, that's it.
>>53585430
Then?
>>53585412
Here's from another website anon. Almost same
>>53585395
A game that was developed from an AMD commissioned tech demo sees an FX processor matching an unlocked i5?
whew
>>53585453
Mobile i5 :^)
>>53585463
:(
I should have known that, I've got a dual core mobile i7 with ht.
>>53585381
but that doesnt have anything to do with HT. If your scheduler is shit it will be shit with or without HT.
I just upgraded to a 3 year old Celeron a month ago :^)

Not that anon, but...
HT is essentially additional process schedulers. If your OS scheduling is shit, additional schedule units will compound things.
This was an issue with SBS 2003 and HT Xeons back in the day. Exchange and Server were fighting HT. It was bad. Turning off HT fixed the issues.
