Why does /g/ hate Cinnamon?
Looks like shit.
>>53558613
Oh okay. fair enough I guess
>>53558595
/g/ hate everything
>>53558595
i had the same desktop like yours a years ago
wallpaper and theme
all people are the same
>>53558743
ah nice. i'm not ricing here. i am actually using a windows 10 theme right now heh
It's a little clunky, but it's not customizable enough for me and that's the main reason I don't use it.
Its quite heavy on the resources, takes atleast 1 GB of ram on idle.
>>53558762
what do you use?
>>53558595
cinnamon is actually the only DE i've found to fit my needs, being easy to customize (in its limits) and being comfy.

I beg to differ, anon :^)

His point stands
Not that the DE is bad. It's just unstable as stallman's chairs.
>>53558595
Because it tastes like shit
>>53559385
You're probably eating it wrong, foolish fool.
Doesn't work good in VirtualBox
It is just bloated xfce
>>53559333
Any better icons? I was using vivacious when I was on Fedora, pretty comfy but installed Numix on Arch because I couldn't remember the name "vivacous", just havcen't changed them out of lazyness
>>53558595
it's OK. I use it on my HTPC. can't be fucked to change it.
like Xfce it's vista-level desktop UX with no frivolous bullshit and that's more than good enough for me and whatever pleb happens to visit and use my machines.

>>53558613
Better than GNOME
>>53558595
I have never seen anyone here hate on cinnamon. It is one of the best DEs.
>>53558595
please post wallpaper
most modern operating systems (most noticeably GNU/Linux) are all slightly different re-interpretations of the same abstractions
in that sense, they all suck
>>53559333
>unstable
Never had an issue with it.
>>53558595
Former Cinnamon cuck here
KDE4 is absolutely based

This
I fucking love cinnamon.
Xfce is nice too, but cinnamon feels a bit more slick to customise.

Cinnamon would be perfect if:
It used a different default theme.
It switched to Qt.
Tearing.
I recently switched to it from Openbox. I'm really enjoying it.
