Because find me one good reason for a C++/ Java developer to use OSX over Windows, which has a larger and better compability and tools, or Linux, which is obviously an optimal choice for enterprise programs.

Add to that the fact you HAVE to use OSX to natively develop for iPhone and Apple products in general, and Macbooks are personal favourites of HTML+CSS designers (yes, these people are considered developers), and mobile app developers, which are both an oversaturated with hundreds of thousands if not millions actively developing in it.

It's really not that difficult to realize. For every person out there developing .Net or J2EE app there's a dozen PHP websites.
