I use Mint, but I admit that it's basically Ubuntu + Cinnamon + Better Default Programs + Duct Tape over the seams in between. I wouldn't hate someone who used pure Ubuntu, or Ubuntu with Cinnamon, or Ubuntu with whatever DE/WM they prefer. Linux is about choice.
