Depends on who you believe:

Windows sysadmins or devs: No more than Google or Apple.
Normal people: Don't care.
Linux users: Brag about never having used Windows for 10 minutes before claiming to know more about it than even MS and produce a 100 long list of things they can't prove and just get really salty.
>>
Take everything you know about yourself. Now multiply that by a million and that is exactly how much Microsoft can find out about you if you use Windows 10.

You can't turn off device telemetry and you can't defer OS upgrades. Other than that you can turn everything else off, as long as you're using a local account and not a Microsoft account.

It's also crazy how much they're pushing 10 down people's throats. All of my local computer shops sell laptops with built-in Win 10, mind you not even 10.1 that can be downgraded, but 10. Even one of the sales assistants said to me how insane they're pushing it. Not to mention constantly reminding 7 & 8 users to upgrade to Superior Version of Windows.

Can the retarded keylogger meme die already. Text input field analysis is not the same as keylogging. They aren't keeping detailed records of everything you type because that's not useful to them, they're looking for things like how often you fix mistakes from Autocorrect, and things like that. They literally have no reason to be collecting everything typed into every input field ever, it would be hugely data costly to organize in a usable format, and doesn't actually benefit them.

There also is the whole thing about how all the data is anonymized, and advertisers know you as a number and not a person. Anonymized data is way less severe than the literal NSA backdoor that's been in Windows since 7 and you can't remove. If you cared about your privacy at all you wouldn't even be using Windows, so the whole crusade of "stay on 7 and 8" is hilariously ironic.
>>
>>53549144
>doesn't actually benefit them.
It benefits the NSA though. Enjoy your government malware.
>>
>>53549162
It's anonymized data, the NSA already has a backdoor in 7 to get ALL your data with personal info. Why would they want to piece together someone's identity from a bunch of fragments of info with no name attached when they have direct access.

Somewhere in the US is a child who will one day become president.

Everything they read, everything they say, everything they do, all within range of a Windows Device (tm).

Drug use, sexual experimentation, deviant thoughts...all captured by Microsoft, and sent to the NSA for longterm storage.

You know, in case it could be "useful" later on.

Some people that tape their cameras even try to use the nothing to hide fallacy before being called out on the tape.

Another thing I forgot to add is that profiles, especially ones Microsoft is building, which I'm sure they will obtain now is audio files, screenshots, keyloggers, file names, search history and such will become products to be sold to ad companies for data mining and obviously ad targeting and such. Which is also another possible case, with this much info it could be used in so many ways if you just think about it enough, even actions which I shall not even write here

I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're referring to as Windows, is in fact, NSA/Windows, or as I've recently taken to calling it, NSA plus Windows. Windows is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another proprietary component of a fully functioning NSA system made useful by the NSA rootkits, RAT utilities and vital spyware components comprising a full OS as defined by PRISM.

Many computer users run a modified version of the NSA system every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the version of NSA which is widely used today is often called Windows, and many of its users are not aware that it is basically the NSA system, developed by the NSA Project.

There really is a Windows, and these people are using it, but it is just a part of the system they use. Windows is the kernel: the program in the system that transfers the machine's data to the designated NSA servers. The kernel is an essential part of an operating system, but useless by itself; it can only function in the context of a complete operating system. Windows is normally used in combination with the NSA operating system: the whole system is basically NSA with Windows added, or NSA/Windows. All the so-called Windows distributions are really distributions of NSA/Windows!
>>
>>53551055
Evrn with normal courts this would be hard as journalists, if there actually are any that attend, usually won't link this to Microsofts software.
>>
>>53543983
