Honestly XFX has gotten better over the years. I still have a R9 280X from them and it works great

I'm using a Ivy bridge i3 with no cooler.
When you're not using the igpu it doesn't get as hot. Waiting for my passive cooler in the mail.
Meanwhile I've stuck on 4 1cm/1cm square heatsinks to last me to then.

XFX has been great all the way back to the old days when they made only Nvidia cards. I've been using them in people's builds for years and have had little to no issues or RMA calls for them.
