I have a Samsung np300e5a and its monitor is broken. So I wanted to use an ext. monitor as a display but once I power it on, the monitor starts displaying only after the boot process.
If, for example, I want to access the BIOS, how can I?
The same goes for USB keyboard and mouse. They get recognized only after the boot. I suppose that's because there's a fast-boot option enabled which doesn't load all the drivers on boot. I tried to locate the lid sensor, but I couldn't find it. Can anyone spot it?
attach the original keyboard to it, and as soon as you power it on try to hit the internal/external screen toggle (it's like Fn+F8 on dells, no clue on samsung), then go into the bios and set your external display to init first.

I hit the keys to switch but it doesn't!

It doesn't.

how is the external display connected? hdmi or vga?
>>53536323
HDMI

does it have vga? vga would probably be your best bet, at least to get into the bios to see if you can change init order. if it doesn't have a vga port i'm out of ideas

It has a VGA. Tried with it but it's the same.
Once windows boots up hold Winkey and tap P 4 times.

There's unix therein, not windows.
So, I'm lost? I can't do anything?
