Old packages and extra (easy and few, but still extra) steps to install non-free shit, great for servers, but I wouldn't use it on a personal machine.
I would try Sid, but again, the extra steps for install non-free packages, as well as the no out of the box sudo really makes it hard for me to want to try it as a daily driver.

Debian is actually pretty good, but it focuses too much on stability, you could try something like stretch or sid, but you still won't get the latest packages, so if you're an arch baby you're probably not gonna like it.
Still, I wouldn't use debian as a daily driver, but for server stuff it's fucking awesome.
