Should I learn C++, java or some else language?
ASM
Learn to program, not a programming language. Python is a means to this end, so is c# or java. I'm less inclined to recommend c or c++ only because they can be less verbose when erroring.
The most important thing is to actually do it, not spend all day gathering opinions on /g/ and calling it progress.

I am linux fag so maybe java.
It'll be redundant to learn what you won't ever use, it'll also become really hard to motivate yourself.
Think about why you want to learn first.
Bitch, you gonna love me.

does SICP teach that?
does learning to program mean learning common concepts such as for while loops,if else, boolean operators, recursion, data structures such as lists & trees, or maybe even OOP?
I've learned all that and don't know how to go from there to making comprehensive programs that don't rely on some lib like opengl
This java looks so messy to me
