Not quite. A jailbreak is unsigned code that's used to make /dev/disk0s1s2 read and write instead of read only. The jailbreak is pretty much poo without an untether package which allows certain checks to be disabled and the phone to boot normally.

So.. what's your point here exactly? The same could be done on Android, especially if you're running Gapps. Also, apps are in fact signed by devs and you must manually trust each cert if you wish to sideload. Easy enough to do, provides good security.

The TouchID sensor computes a key from your fingerprints (the data never leaves the SE or is ever transmitted). Even in the unlikely case that LEA got a hold of your fingerprint-key equivalent, they'd have to find the keys used to encrypt it from the SE (hint: they can;t)

This is true only because when developers want to publish app changes on both platforms, they need to be approved on iOS first in order to maintain cross-platform compatibility. iOS apps and updates require an approval process which can take up to a month, while on Google Play there is no such process.

Someone gave me a "gold" iPhone 6 a few days ago, they'd misplaced/lost it at a club a few weeks ago, reported it as lost/stolen, filed for the insurance, got their replacement and sure enough the same day the replacement phone arrived by FedEx they got a call a few hours later from someone at the club who found the phone - it had slipped in between some seats on a couch in one of their private areas.
Previous owner removed all their iCloud/iTunes account info and basically said "Here, if you want it you can have it..." and of course I accepted it. It works fine, currently running iOS 9.3 Beta 7 (found quite a few bugs actually in just the past 24 hours and reported them with the feedback tool).
It's a fine device, but just as the original iPhone was fucking locked down nearly to infinity so is this thing. The NFC is useless since Apple doesn't want anyone using that hardware just yet except them for Apple Pay which fucking blows. The camera is ok, takes some decent photos but the LG G4 is vastly superior, so is the V10 for that matter.
It has some nice aspects to it but I'm still an Android person at heart, think I'll see if I can find someone with a bad ESN/IMEI LG G4 and offer a trade, their useless cell phone for this one.
At least with the G4 I can actually get real shit done even if I can't use it as a functional cellular phone on cellular networks. iOS is just lame to me, too boring and it really haven't changed in all these years while Android is constantly doing something new (which of course Apple takes credit for years after the fact like it was their idea all along).
It's a nice piece of hardware, it's just not anything like Apple's bullshit marketing professes.
