I love my Asus ultraportable when I'm backpacking around the world. Can't really fit a real laptop but still need a computer with a keyboard instead of a tablet. Best thing ever.

Look at how your usage, not what you need or want in a laptop. Best is totally relative.
I've been using the X205TA as my go-to carry-on. Specs are decent for most netbooks its size. It's 11.6" and just over 1.1 lbs. Battery life is God-tier. I push 13 - 14 hours per day of browsing and tasks; 8 - 10 on videos alone. Covers all my suits. Sure, it's not as fast as I'd want it to be but I don't have any issues with what it gives me.
Would recommend.
