Yeah it's a shame but what are you gonna do? Firefox has been on a downward slope for many years now. They could kept firefox a relatively lightweight, stable browser with user customization as its first priority. Instead, they opted to make it a shitty copy of Chrome. With every update that comes, it seems they've bloated the browser by stealing yet another useless feature and removed some of the old, more tinker-friendly functionality. I don't really get the logic, do they think if firefox is "a slightly inferior version of chrome", then people who would otherwise choose chrome choose firefox instead? It just doesn't make sense.
I'll continue to use it anyway since there are no serious alternatives.

If you have ads enabled, you get 15% of the cut. You get that via micropayment system. You can then use that to donate or buy stuff or maybe even cash it(probably not). Its probably going to be credit system where you can buy stuff from online.

Opera was my favorite browser for a long time; then it gradually morphed into a Chrome clone.
I use Firefox, since it copied most of Opera's good features anyway, but it's morphing into a Chrome clone as well.
