Nothing breaks as easily as micro USB. USB type C is god compared to it.

The main complaint about micro-usb cables is the little clips that are supposed to hold it in place get broken easily. And they do come loose easily.
I've had several cables that lost those connectors and fall out of my phone. Though, most of these are the ones you get for 50 cents a pop on monoprice.

My Samsung cables have stayed intact.
