I was using Windows and and this hacker basically shattered my digital life and is chasing me no matter what I do.

Summary
>he recorded my strokes and had access to my webcam and froze my computer using svchost.exe attack (using all resources), hacked my Wi-Fi router somehow and led me to a fake site when I was browsing on my phone and making me download a RAT trojan .apk file (i didn;t install it) etc.

Someone here recommended installing Linux so I installed Ubuntu wiping out the whole Windows and now I am able to use my computer but I know he's out there somewhere waiting for me to expose one vulnerability so that he can break in.

I am considering going full Android (preferably stock from Google) as below
>1. an Android phone for everyday life
>2. an Android tablet for moving around
>3. a high-end Android tablet with adjusted DPI to get more content on its screen connected to a monitor through HDMI for working at home
>4. a Windows laptop to run Windows-only programs. (I won't store any password on it and I can access it on my tablet through Splashtop.)

Or I am considering going full Ubuntu as below
>1. an Android phone for everyday life
>2. a portable laptop running Ubuntu for moving around
>3. a large laptop running Ubuntu for working at home
>4. Using Wine to run Windows-only programs on Ubuntu

I want to choose the setup that is infinitesimally more secure because as you can see I am not tech-savvy and won't have time to go tech-savvy anytime soon.

i am not being paranoid

there is a korean version of wikipedia, it went down, and a group of hackers forked it and made another site. all the articles are licensed under Creative Commons License non-commercial share-alike license since the beginning of time, so they aren't supposed to monetize it. But they put up ads on the site nevertheless and is threatening me to shut me up.

namu.wiki is the sites name and it is said that its admins are security specialists

i am a high school student and have to prepare all my applications to universities and don't have time to deal with these people anymore

>>53309841
i currently have no money for a new router... i am from a poor family and mom said 70 dollars are too much for my family's this month's budget
>>
>>53309659
also I installed Remix OS to check it out, and didn't like it and went on to using Ubuntu again, then my computer froze just like when I was using Windows. Freshly installed Ubuntu again and am having no problems.

I suspect installing Remix OS opened one vulnerability to the hacker(s) so they could attack again to take up all my resources.
(I was listening to music on YouTube and it took me 5 minutes to move the cursor to the power button and when I did I couldn't click it so I had to force my laptop to shut down.

>>53310349
Have you thought of the possibility that you are just paranoid and you have defective/ancient hardware and the reason svchost goes supersaiyan is because you didn't disable Windows Update service?

>>53309415
>RAT
>Hacker

He downloaded and ran notavirus.exe

Stick to ubuntu, or mint, run rkhunter + clamav periodically.

>>53310264
So why are they pissed exactly? Did you threaten to snitch them or sue them or something?

Ooh schizo threads are my favourite threads on /g/.

I still don't understand what did you do to piss them off so much

I asserted that they shouldn't use content licensed under a CCL non-commercial to make money. I asserted that they should accept donations like Wikipedia. Many people agreed and they now want the fire to stop spreading.

I basically shut them up by referencing foreign court cases involving Germany's and the Netherlands' in which the violation of CCL was prosecuted and etc.

TL;DR they are mad at me because I could make them stop making money

Could be another guy, or maybe you use the same password on every website like the retard you are and the shitty anime fansub you registered to got hacked.
>>
okay all things aside

I just want to know which one is more secure between android and ubuntu

someone here told me that insulting security experts and using Windows are basically asking for attacks so I installed Ubuntu (with a USB driver made with another computer, because mine was basically frozen for eternity) and am now able to ask you for help on my computer and you are calling me schizophrenic wow

no all the attacks happened once I started a thread to analyze the Creative Commons License and the site's case and have debated in it for an hour
i was running Windows 10 with all recent updates downloaded.
>>
>>53310547
That sucks dude, I would like to help. Is there anything I can do to help your cause?
>>
>>53309222
First of all, turn off your fucking router. Factory reset it, your phone, computer and any device connected to it. Install Ubuntu on your computer. Change your router password to a more secure one. Done, and don't be a retard.
>>
>>53309245
because its crap

Installing Ubuntu saved my computer so telling me which one is more safe between Android or Ubuntu.

And once I am on a safe setup I will again be able to write articles and instigate people and keep fighting

I think it's pretty disgusting the Americans can run a wiki with donations and Koreans are really trying to make money off it breaking the very value of Creative Commons License. pretty repulsive to me. If it weren't licensed under the CCL, I wouldn't care for a bit. But a rule is a rule and a license is a license.

The articles on that wiki is a basically a collective knowledge worth at least 10 years of Korean web users and making money off it despite the license is repulsive. many people agreed. and now they want to shut me up.

I found out that one of the admins is a Seoul National University Graduate and his name thanks to research on Google and pure luck, but when I mentioned it they were surprised and now hacking into my life to control me

>turn off your fucking router.
done
>Factory reset it, your phone, computer and any device connected to it.
done
>Install Ubuntu on your computer.
saved my computer
>Change your router password to a more secure one.
done on Ubuntu

but i am still not convinced Ubuntu would be more secure than stock Android. because I heard on Android apps are run in sandbox so they have limited control thus making the system more secure from hackers.

I am also a writer and I like writing on an Android app and I tried Libreoffice on Ubuntu and didn't like it so on Ubuntu I have to write on Google Docs but it has less features so productivity wise I prefer Android (stock) but if Ubuntu is more secure than Android I am willing to stick to it

>and don't be a retard.
wow i get this is a tech board but just because one is not tech savvy doesn't mean they are a retard there are people for doing other things than technology do you get it?

Someone here advised that I install Ubuntu (Linux) and it save my computer!
Now I know Linux is infinitely more secure than Windows, I ditched Windows.
I know Adroid and Ubuntu are both Linux,
so I want to choose the more secure one to forget about all this tech stuff
for a while and prepare my university applications and
go back to my everyday life without fear and doubt about my security.

because the secure one between the two OSs based on Linux (which is already more secure than Windows) would be VERY more secure than Windows and give me more protection against these hackers.

someone please tell me!

Guys i am having a strange problem

No, you fucking moron. That's why they keep getting your IP. Always use a VPN if you want to mess with this kind of people.
