Why arent you using Clear Linux?
>>
>The goal of Clear Linux OS is to showcase the best of Intel Architecture technology
Sounds just like Intel dick waving. How's the package management, versioning / updating, and community support?
>>
I want as much performance I can get but I ain't using obscure shit without knowing.

Also telemetry as a feature. Ok.

>The Clear Linux* Project for IntelĀ® Architecture is a project that is building a Linux OS distribution for various cloud use cases. The goal of Clear Linux OS is to showcase the best of Intel Architecture technology, from low-level kernel features to more complex items that span across the entire operating system stack.
Sounds like something specialized as opposed to a normal distribution.

KEK

Listen mate, if this stuff runs this well on my intel processor, I am sold.

Because it has systemd? Because the use of buzzwords such as "enterprise" on the web site makes my bullshit detector trigger?

Rahish didn't train you well.

Not even a subtle shill
>>
Look at Phoronix's review.

They explain that it's due to aggressive flagging in their complier, and that other Distros slap the shit out of clear linux's graphical performance among other things.

Also it's really for enterprise situations which I'm not interested in.

Holy fuck could you jam any more corporate buzzwords into one paragraph?

Cucking myself into freedom is much much better than being forcefully cucked into the botnet
>>
To the Trogs saying that telemetry is bullshit:

Every OS does this now. Google tracks you on their servers. The NSA knows what makes your dick hard.

There is no escape aside from living in a cave. If you want change, fight for it at the political level.

you are all retarted acting as if you were three years old! You only think theres all or nothing, no in between!

It should be like this:
> telemetry as an add-on which you manually had to install and configure so you could take part in a testing program
> write usage reports for example on a weekly base
> gather info and send it manually!
> MANUALLY !
> profit from cutting edge software

everyone else receives the updates too, but only after extended testing!

Everyone who doesn't like telemetry: just don't install the add-on

All are happy

Why can't it be like this?
It should be!
>>
>>53262378
but the people we need to gather data on to improve our products, won't do all of this anon. Seriously, get a job and some real world experience
>>
>no games
Piece of shit, I'm sticking to windows
>>
>>53262439
you have to make them an offer they can't deny

no srsly, why would nobody take part?
If they don't know they're spied on, then they're normies.
If you tell normies the are being spied on, the are sometimes shocked to hear about that and change their mind (at least the one i talked to).
If they don't care (i.e. posting shit on facebook), they'd also take part in a special testing program!

So why would the not take part? They are/were also using windows, so what's the point.
>>
>>53262439
you could aso include an option to automate the process, but still put FULL CONTROL at the users hands + open source it

If it's automated, you'll get what you want and the users can still decide to quit the telemetry program!
>>
this board sucks so much ass
