sudo find / -regex ".*\(\|\.DS_Store\|\.Trash-1000\|Desktop.ini\|thumbs.db\)" -delete

find regex is ugly but that will clear your bloat files starting from root. Run it after dealing with windows or mac

If you've ever had your ass saved by an emacs backup you'd be asking for more.

I used to think like that, until one day I took a look into /etc/ and found hundreds of ~#~files from months-old backups of system files that I'll never use again.

Enlighten me then
>>
>>53219873
Splitting RAR and other archive files was useful a while ago, like when you had to put a large file on multiple floppy disks or upload on crappy file hosters.
>>
>>53217253
I usually run the following for .DS_Store

sudo find / -name .DS_Store -delete
