Worse than anything. Heck, I had to use a macbook air for my video rendering needs - ffmpeg was ridiculously slow, this piece of shit was clocked at 2.2 ghz. And the drive couldn't even fit my videos. Nice proprietary hardware, Apple.

Only on kernel updates and only if you choose Ubuntu instead of a proper distro. Most other distros can do restartless kernel updates.

Because I am trying to get good at computers and any one decent with computers should have at least tried and know how to use linux as well as windows, mac and whatever the hell else is in common use. I think I will be moving to bsd once I master linux a little better though. I don't know if I can go back to windows though so if I ever get a good paying job and they don't require me to use windows i might get a mac book pro and just use home brew to install whatever the fuck I want. It is still unix-like and they are decent laptops despite the price.

>inb4 you can't upgrade your ram and think of the costs

My answers is if I get a decent coding job who cares about the cost and I seldom ever upgrade my computer anyways and if I truly wanted to I can solder the fucking chips on the board myself.

I'm not dependent on proprietary licensing costs and buying garbage antivirus that I don't know what would even do on my system because it's proprietary.

I can play opensource games comfortably without steam(because fuck that shit.)

You can study how to program and not get spied on and understand how the system works and repair or upgrade it yourself.

I'm never going back to Windows.

What bothers me most when I'm forced to work on windows or osx is that they treat you like a retard that shouldn't be allowed to use a computer in the first place.
I guess that makes sense as a business strategy seeing as most people are retards when it comes to computers. It just depends on your needs. If you don't like GNU/linux you're just in another target audience.
Different people like different stuff.

linux fucks up - google it - get to a thread containing 3 answers, all for when different shit gave me error (some running program, kde,...) - i know problem happened with kde, so i follow those instructions - good, it's fixed

windoze fucks up - have to look on second page of google result - finally gets to a thread with dozens of fixes - all fixes are from other faggots who just browse and dont know shit about pc - my guess is that their fix is from their neet friend who spoured some technical jargon on them and now they feel all pro - filter out the answers that look like could help - 4 hours later I fold and with crying reinstall windoze as the only viable option left

The same goes for you using Firefox/Chrome or their forks on Linux, including adobe products.
There's not much that doesn't stack up.
You can check up the details within the vulnerability listings as well as year listings.

I don't care much about Windows.
I use Win7 for gaming only and have it very sandboxed in terms of Internet connection, except for online gaming.
So i don't give two shits about security.

I use OpenSUSE for everything else including basic media consumption and especially Internet.

You're literally autistic if you can't understand that people benefit from using Linux even though it doesn't match *your* computing needs.

This is LITERALLY a symptom of autism; being able to understand that other people are independant entities. I understand this, and I use Linux exclusively. Let that sink in; you're more autistic than someone who uses ganoo slash loonix 24/7. You're not the good kind of autist like I am, who programs robots, maintains personal servers, tries new programming languages, and makes their own electronics. No, that's the smart kind of autist. You're the kind of underdeveloped child-like autist who plays with electronic toys and will die ignorant.

So don't use Linux. Just go back to >>>/v/
>>
>>53149839
Open security.
>>
>>53159160

then you can leave the window open and it wont do anything (it doesn't even sit on top of your other windows). plus you can postpone it by 4 hours each time, so by postponing it a few times that means maybe 16 hours? how the fuck is that not enough time for you to save what you're doing
>>
>>53149839
Name 1 reason why you care
>>
>>53159442
What if you postpone it beforehand because you wanna put it off and it takes the option away when you are doing important shit?
>>
>>53159473

then its your fault for starting work when you know you need to restart and you could possibly lose what you're doing. it takes literally 2 minutes to reboot. and again, you can just leave that window there without pressing anything and windows won't do anything.

>dont install the updates WHEN YOU'RE WORKING

it LITERALLY takes 2 minutes to do a restart. install the updates and THEN get to work. what's so hard to understand about this? if you're prompted to install an update WHEN you're working then put it off until you're done, or save what you're doing and then install them. it's really not that much of an inconvenience. tinkering around with linux is way more of an inconvenience.
