None. If I wanted my phone to look like pic related, I'd get an iPhone.

None of the announced modules are compelling. A battery pack with a camera button? Yawn. Might as well have released a dedicated G5 camera version like Samsung did with the Galaxy Zoom.

These modules will be low-volume accessories so their prices will stay too high to seriously consider purchasing them.
>>
>>53124008
this is ridiculous. the camera module looks like a tumor. least innovative addition ever.

That phone looks like shit.

I still don't get why gooks and chinks are so terrible when it come to product design but god damn their phones looks like shit.

I despise Apple, but pic related is a proper product design.
>>
>>53124008
the dac sounds nice, but a real dac/amp combo would be better.
>>
>>53124114
the iphone 5 is still my favorite phone design, idk why they couldn't just expand upon that design instead of fucking it up trying to become crepe thin.
>>
Nothing, since this an experiment by LG that won't take off.
Enjoy your useless hardware peripherals that are only good for a single brand and model.
>>
>>53124143
No idea. But yeah the 5 / 5S were on absolute point.

i'm far too autistic to ever enjoy this

I'll spend half the day stressing about whether or not I have the appropriate module for my anticipated needs of the day installed

This year's focus at MWC seems to be on selling profitable accessories for flagships.

Smartphones are interesting because they merge so many functions into a single package. Migrating those functions back out into accessories is counterproductive.

I'm going G4.

>that grime buildup between the screen and the module
>>
>>53124114

I like the iPhone 4 even better because it doesn't have those pointless darker bezels on the back. If only the screen were bigger.
>>
>>53124236
>I like the iPhone 4 even better because it doesn't have those pointless darker bezels on the back. If only the screen were bigger.
If only you didn't have to hold it correctly in your hands facing the correct star constellation in the skies and passing the luck roll of the Universe in order to get the antenna to work.

We're now reaching the limits of size and performance like it happened with tablets. Nowadays a 2 years old Android phone with a half decent chipset and at the very least Android 4.4 is still good enough for the average normie.

People is starting to see now that they no longer need to update to bigger/faster/better every year and a half like years ago and now a flagship will easily last you for 3 years (esp. with removable battery and SD slot) so OEMs have to find new ways to get your money.

All the modules that are available for the G4? So all of them?
>>
>>53124008

I tried to look up information on this phone, but I can't wade my way through all the layers of repetitive marketing bullshit.

It's some kind of base phone with a good battery that accepts add-on modules, but it's not at all clear to me what sorts of modules are available or how they connect.

Does this just mean that when you fumble and drop your phone, it explodes into even more pieces you have to snap back together?

Anandtech says it has a button on the side that releases the bottom module. They also said it feels very secure with no wiggle room.

Back to the future!
Remeber the times when you dropped your phone, and this just meant some scratches, and your battery cover and battery flying off, and then you'd snap it back together, turn it on again ,and be good to go again?
>>
>>53125595

I've read about this issue but never experienced it myself. Currently using a handed-down iPhone 4, no issues so far. And it feels so goddamn sturdy, unlike every other creaky phone I used before.

I'd say that the oneplus one was one of the best looking chinkphones out at the time of release, even preferred it's aesthetics to the Western counterparts, galaxy s5 looked like trash in comparison.

Question I suppose, wouldn't you have to shut down the phone every time you want to slap on a different module since the battery is attached to it? Wouldn't that be incredibly annoying?

>Car lift lever module.

You stick one of those levers there, and you use your G5 to digitally control the leverage of the car to change a tire.

>Office desk module

You stick your desk on your phone and it allows you to digitally rest your phone on your desk.

>House module
You stick your house in your phone and you can do all kinds of smart things like check how big your house is

>Car module
Pop in your car and instead of using wheel and pedals, you digitally control your car.

>House pet module
You stick your pet into your phone and it tells you how long till it bleeds to death.
