anyway, i would also like to point out how AMD and nvidia are made at the same exact factory and use the same hardware (fabrication node) but yet nvidia feels the need to charge twice as much for literally the same fucking hardware (lol) with marginal performance gains which do not nearly justify the cost.
actually when you really think about it, AMD doesn't really perform any worse than nvidia. AMD has amazing compute capabilities which is something some of us who aren't fucking retarded actually use here.
all in all they are just different architectures between AMD and nivida, but the gameplay performance really isn't significant enough difference.
AMD definitely has the better architecture though, its true potentiality is better suited for the future anyway

unlike 3D, which adds only slightly to the experience, VR gives you a full 360 degree experience and in the case of the vive in 3 dimensions too (6 degrees of freedom total). That in itself is a huge step up from 3D, not to mention the possibilities for new types of media and the money being sunk into R&D for VR

I think it's going to take a while. It's still a new extra expensive peripheral for starters. It's going to need to a system selling software as well which it lacks. Then there's people like me who still get nauseous and can notice the latency badly. Then they should also push towards simplicity with a single small cable instead of these larger and relatively heavy cable bundle and a much smaller/lighter device. It'll take 3 years minimum to start a mainstream push.
