As to Yan "just editing", you don't seem to understand that a minifier is a form of compiler (it takes human-readable JS and outputs optimized JS for web transport and browser execution, which is roughly about as readable as assembly). The work she did is in altering a minifier so that the produced code runs code that the minifier author wrote, rather than the user of the minifier wrote. She didn't "condense" any code, she wrote an entirely new exploit. It was inspired by a superficially similar exploit for C compilers, but uses different techniques, and the JS version has, at the end of the day, seen much more discussion in the security community (I'm a grad student who does computer security research).
