Too many bad caps on the motherboard, not worth changing them all.
Has been replaced by a AMD E-350 system.
I still have a pentium 4 chugging along for low level server hosting. Things got to have over 10,000 hours of use. Going to drill a hole in it and attach it to a keychain whenever I retire it.
I have my 4670K and I don't plan to upgrade until who am I kidding I'm really fucking pissed I didn't get VT-d. Thanks a lot Jewtel.

Got a 4790k and it's been great to me for the last year. Has held a 4.8 niggahertz OC since I got it and never given me any issues.
However since I upgraded to W10 2 weeks ago I've gotten 3 bluescreens with "whea_unrecoverable_error" which seems to always point to the CPU. I really want to roll back to W7 but then I lose DX12. Is there possibly anything I can do to make my old OC stable in W10?

I7 4 years old. Brought online from company that makes laptops to order.
Paid £750. You can now buy the same type of laptop on the high street now for £900. But it won't have blue ray drive. Why upgrade.

I can see what you mean. Many CPU-heavy programs rarely use more than six cores (bar rendering), and with Intel pretty much admitting that they'll sit on their asses and focus on energy efficiency for the near future, it makes sense to get a CPU in this range.
Only I'm thinking of shelling out that little bit extra for a 1650 V3 to get Xeon features and ECC, since I tend to run my systems 24/7, at least half of all X99 motherboards support this config.
