What? Nova or Apex should let you remove everything. I have Apex, the only categories by default are Apps and Widgets. I think you can remove/hide widgets. Give a screenshot so we can see exactly what you want to remove.

If you need the SUPER rice the shit out of your phone, check Lighting Launcher. Paid but you can do basically any setup with it.

I've got this game running and it appears to max out my pagefile for whatever reason without maxing out my RAM first. I was under the impression that the Windows page file was for when your system was out of physical RAM to use. I have 32GB of RAM in my build, yet Verdun seems to only use about 7.5GB according to MSI Afterburner's charts.

It's worth noting that my Windows pagefile is set to only be 1GB, so I'm not certain why my pagefile usage is showing as 4GB-10GB in MSI Afterburner. The pagefile.sys file in my C:/ drive is 1GB in size.

Any insights are appreciated.

Dumbass here, sorry to be a pain. My sister's laptop came pre-installed with Win 10 on it and I'm trying to boot a pirated Win 7 installation iso, but it won't let me go through with the installation. I won't be a jackass and ask for someone for instructions, I just want to know whether Win 10 automatically corrupts pirated Win files so that this method won't work or if I'm just fucking something else up. Oh that's a bit old now. Most launchers should be able to hide that. I just tried on Apex and there's an option for it, I went to Apex Settings > Drawer Settings > Drawer tab style. I'm surprised the launchers you found have that extra garbage.
Lightning Launcher can probably do it but other free launchers should be able to as well. I don't know if Apex will run very well on a Gingerbread device.

There's no way to be certain. We can look at current and up in coming resolutions (4k and 8k) and blurays have enough space to support both of those.

I'd say you have give or take 10 years before a new format is even considered.

>>52986124
What are you specifically editing? If you're just some new youtuber I'd say hold off on blowing 2k unless you really want to spend that much.

The 6600k would be just fine and would knock some cost off of the final total.

Your rig in general is overkill for 1080p editing.

>>

Personally I'd just overclock the 6600 but if you wouldn't feel comfortable go with the i7.

This rig is complete overkill for 1080p editing, but it's great if you plan on moving up to 4k eventually. I find it odd that someone in the industry still shoots at 1080p though

Don't rely on msi after burner, a utility meant for the GPU to monitor page file usage during gaming as this could be simply a false reading.

You have enough ddr ram to disable the page file entirely or set it to 512mb for crash/memory dumps.

If anything refuses to run properly because it requires the paging file uninstall that dusty piece of shit and use modern software.

Whats the best software and method to backup 3 hard drives to a single one? Currently I use windows backup tool but Ive heard it may have problems restoring properly later, it creates 3 vhd files which contain everything and make mounting and extracting things easy. So I'm learning haskell, and i'm having some serious difficulty understanding how this generates the fibonacci sequence:
fib = 1 : 1 : [a+b | (a, b)  <- zip fib (tail fib)]

I understood recursion when I learned it in C++, but maybe it doesn't work in the same fashion as haskell.

Before the first iteration, fib should be [1,1] --fine.
So the first iteration should be: zip [1,1] [1] = [(1,1)] which causes a=1, b=1, 1+1=2 --fine.
Resultant fib after the first iteration = [1,1,2] --here's where everything goes to hell in my mind.
2nd iteration: zip [1,1,2] [1,2] =[(1,1),(1,2)] which causes a=??, b=??
I've got two tuple pairs, how does a and b get assigned values in this 2nd and subsequent iterations?

>>
>>52988673
This is where the magic happens
a+b | (a, b)

It makes the next element in the list the sum of the two items in the tuple.
So you'd have 1, 1, (1+1), (1+(1+1)) etc.
You might want to read up on list comprehension in Haskell.

But the zip keyword just creates lists of tuples, so if I'm zip'ing a longer list of tuples as my fib list gets longer and longer how is a and b selected from that long-ass list?
That link only confuses me worse because it starts out with multiple generators and I can't comprehend single generators right now.

2) Private trackers are safe. Only public trackers are safeguarded _usually_ by bots.
>>
>>52988864
It's called "lazy evaluation". Haskell only evaluates the list up to the point you ask for.
As another example
[2^x | x <- [0..]]

This is an infinite list of powers of two.
But Haskell will only evaluate the parts you need, which is why you can do something like pic related and it doesn't take forever.

Right, but the boundlessness of this sequence isn't what's confusing me. It's the fact that I'm generating huge lists of tuple pairs (because that's what zip does) and somehow only two values are being selected for a and b in generating the next number in the list.
>>
>>52988986
>It's the fact that I'm generating huge lists of tuple pairs (because that's what zip does)
[a+b | (a, b) <- zip fib (tail fib)]

This should be read as
"A list of a+b where a and b are the elements of the tuple from the list generated by 'zip fib (tail fib)'".

Holy fucking god. I have no idea how, but I read that short line about 20 times and it just clicked. I was thinking of the sequence generation as being a list where we're only calculating the next element in the list with each iteration and nothing else. I didn't understand that with each iteration, we're re-evaluating the first few elements we had already found.

I know my attempt to explain how/why I was confused probably means nothing to you, but I've been stuck on this for like an hour and now it makes perfect sense. I wish I could do more than just thank you, based anon. :D

You could have a 10 year old Pentium PC and it would still boot from an SSD. It's literally the same drive as a HDD or whatever.

Since SATA is backwards compatible, it would work with SATA1 as well. But keep in mind, TRIM would not work on XP or so. (But there are tools to do it for you, and "SSD Toolboxes" can also do it for you.)

AHCI gives you:
- Faster access for HDD - though it's only on paper, I never really felt the difference
- Hot swap support - but it does not work all the time, like even if you "safely remove" an AHCI drive on Windows, it won't power down, so only your data is safe.

I recently built a new computer, installed Windows 7 x64 as you'd expect, but I'm getting a whole slew of problems. I getting BSODs half a dozen times a day, and they're always caused by different things. My last one was SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION caused by ntoskrnl.exe, the one before that was DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL caused by amd_sata.sys, and the one before that was BAD_POOL_HEADER caused by rdyboost.sys. On top of that I get random screen crashes every now and then. My keyboard lights still work, and my screen still updates, like people can still send me messages on Steam, but I just can't interact with my screen, the mouse and keyboard don't work at all.

And THEN I have a randomly high CPU temperature. I got the AM A10-7870K, and the idle temp is 45C. The instant I do anything, it jumps to 55-60C. My CPU use is what you'd expect, with most being the idle process and the rest being little shit.

And if you want some more on top of that, Windows Update doesn't work. This is now the 3rd ISO I've installed Windows from, and on each one of them, Windows Update has not worked. I actually have to manually stop the service from running because the service was continually trying to update my system with a Windows Update that did not working, causing svchost to spiral out of control in CPU and RAM use which ground my computer to a halt. For the record, this problem has been "solved" by disabling the update service, so this isn't responsible for my CPU temps.

Everything is shit fuck life.

If you repair a Lenovo machine (Thinkpad), you need a Lenovo approved wifi card, and that's it.

It's got nothing to do with the drivers.

firefox 44 is out, is it going to disable all my unsigned addons again?

It did in 43, was an easy fix, but I remember talk of the about:config option being totally removed in 44 for like, security, or something.

The other day I went to the store to replace my earbuds (just a pair of normal earbuds with no microphone) that broke even if I took extreme care of them.
They were still in warranty, but the woman who I talked to said that these are for mp3 players, and using them with a smartphone would obviously ruin them.

Did she lie to me just to not replace my headphones, or it's an actual issue?
Can't find anything on Google.

It seems very weird to me that something like that would happen, but on the other side this is the second pair of headphones (same model) that break this way after a few months, while my brother who also has the same model has had his for 1.5 years without breaking despite using them more frequently than me, but on a computer.

Finally downloaded Fdroid, what is "Update Repositories" and what does that mean exactly?
>>
OK so I need to know which situation is less retarded to escape the 2.4ghz interference from the 900 wireless networks around me:

1. Replace Comcast's modem/router with my own, upgrade all devices in my house with wireless N adapters.

2. Buy a wireless N Router, set to bridge mode, run devices through ethernet to bridge.

>NH-u12S
Amazon page says it comes with paste
>Topped off with the trusted, pro grade SecuFirm2 multi socket mounting system, Noctua's provenNT H1 thermal compound
but it also says it is frequently bought together with paste. Is there any reason to use a different paste or do people just have trouble reading the item description to find out what they're buying?

COBOL and ASSembly

you can thank me later, I like good wine and russian literature
>>
>>52992774
Its a HSF made for overclocking in mind, usually most people try to get the best out it getting some good paste.

If you can afford it get AS5.

If you are going to do moderate to huge overclocking get AS5.

>for like, security, or something
safe spaces must be safe, duh!
mommy knows best, you naughty boy, you don't need any of these silly 'settings'
unsigned addons can do you harm
and you don't need them anyway unless you're going to do some bad things
like looking at naked girls on the internets
objectifying strong beautiful wommyns is bad and sexist
instead, you should learn how to smash Patriarchy 24/7
together with Mozilla Firefox (C)(R)(TM)

the only hazard in old CRT is the tube.
if you would blow it up in your face, you may get hurt.
don't do that. :^)

>>52991297
just try to look for any used AGP card that works.
I mean, any. Geforce FX, 6 and 4 series, they all had AGP IIRC.
Try to aim for later cards, so they will function longer.

>>52991623
> KMSPico = virus
That's bullshit.
It's most likely FP.
Even Windows flags KMS tools as FP.
And shit AV products.

Solution? Change your AV, or go on reddit and buy a 10$ license on softwareswap you fucking jew bastard.

The new KDE(5) is literally cancer.
Just use something with 4.
It's kinda what happened when 4 came out, they released a half-assed, half-baked, incomplete desktop environment as "stable".

>>52991924
Charging circuit/IC/chip/whatever is dead.
Try booting it in safe mode, try charging like that.
Try turning it off and charging it like that.

Worst workaround, get a charging cradle.

>>52991997
It's a good solid device with Nexus updates, what's not to like?
>>
>>52992691
Get an app on your phone that shows amount of traffic on different channels, choose the channel with the least traffic. It's a router setting.

If that doesn't help, get N. Most of your devices should already support it if they were made in the last decade.

So I have my first ever dual-monitor setup. Everything is perfectly fine besides the fact that the monitors are unaligned.

In pic related, if I try to move to the other monitor in the red area my cursor won't move over. It stays on that monitor. I didn't add those black bars.

They're both the same monitor with, as far as I know, the same settings. How do I fix this?

Sorry about the size, I had to reduce it in order for it to be under 4mb.

>>52992662
It updates the list of applications and versions from the repos. Same thing as apt-get update.

Virtualdub is like... audacity.
Free, plain, simple.

>>52992174
IIRC its password+randomdata hashed (but correct me, not sure), check wikipedia
and you do NOT hash with md5.

>>52992443
kinda like bash commands, linux questions, things like that.

>>52992662
it uses an apt-get like cache, so if you push that button, it updates the repo. but honestly I just use the direct download + web search, because fdroid runs 0-24 on my phone. why the hell would I waste my phone's resources to get a receive once a year?
>>
>>52993169
Already did that. There's literally over 20 networks around me and since there's so much overlap on channels there's no getting around it. I need to switch to 5GHz, but that involves upgrading several devices with adapters so I'm trying to decide if it would be smarter to get a 5GHz router and just use it as a bridge.
