Probably a combination of your ISPs backbone routers not fully supporting IPv6, and Google prioritizing IPv4 traffic. The world's not ready for full IPv6

Guys, I need to get a new router. My current belkin has a very bugged 5ghz channel and just won't connect or connects with no internet all the time.

My needs are modest. I need it to go about 75 feet max on it's 2.4ghz. I need it to be reliable. AC would be nice but not totally necessary. I need it to be able to handel 100mbps which is the max my internet connection can go. I need it to reliably connect to 8 devices max. An I need it to be under 150 dollars.

I definitely don't need any fancy setting or custom firmware. My network is modest. The craziest thing I do is have all my computers on a home group and sometimes need port forwarding for a few games.

I've had a wonderful experience with TP-Link routers. Great for ac through all three floors to my house.
>>

Any netgear router.
N600 is extremely solid. Mine lasted 6 years.
The UI when logging in to the router makes port forwarding easy and other stuff.

Whats your budget?
>>
>>52931617
I'll add that I'm asking because I've just had bad luck with shitty routers that drop connections.

I'm not even remotely in a wifi populated area. I can see one other router that's not mine when I select my wifi, 2 if I'm upstairs.

>>52931662
If it's a C7 AC1750 that would be my current router. I'm sure the N variant is also decent.
>>
>>52931662
N600 is only 70USD on Amazon.

Most the negative reviews are for ''bad customer service'' which has literally nothing to do with the product. If you know how to setup a fucking router and login to it, it's perfect.

But who fucking knows.
>>
>>52931227
>>52931271
Safe mode would bluescreen too but I figured it out. I've booted a Linux LiveCD (I had Arch image on a flash drive), downloaded all possible drivers for the new motherboard and booted Windows Repair, from then I ran the cmd.exe and used DISM (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd371719%28v=vs.85%29.aspx) to install all of the drivers, after that Windows successfully booted with brand new hardware.

Netgear R6300 or R6400

D-Link DIR-868L

I'd assume the 8 keys are pulled from registry, but yes they keys would come from either a box or sticker. The main point is they are unused, and only you will have access to the key

You don't meet the minimum requirements, which are like a desktop 480, 570, 670 or better. A 740M isn't anywhere near that.

Attacker can't sniff neither keys no passwords.
Attacker can keep guessing passwords until he gets the right one, and due to size of keys, he can't do this with properly generated keys.
Attacker can do a man in the middle attack and get into your connection with password - but not with key.

>one day, start up my computer, read even more articles about that topic; watch a video of a lecture on money laundering on YouTube
>suddenly, ads change to the picture of Bernard Madoff, with a writing on top, saying something like "11 felonies and 150 years of imprisonment", and "Do you want to end up like him?" at the bottom
>the ads were just normal ads which advertised Forex or some shit at first, but abruptly changed to this
>try to hover my mouse over it, it said: javascriptvoid(0) or some shit - the ad didn't link to any websites

What the fuck was that shit? Did I hallucinate? Or did someone do a Man in the Middle/DNS poisoning on my network?

Pic related isn't the picture of the ad by the way. The ad was just a picture of Madoff with some writing - there was no company name in it (like CBS news or some shit) or anything else.

My question:
If I were to get a large monitor (27"-34" UHD) would this mean I could keep my DPI at 100% and my resolution at 3200x1800 constantly and not have everything microscopic?

I'm trying make things happen with C++, but I'm just asking about the general technique approach.

I know that C++ doesn't have many HTML parsers, hence I'm wondering about converting HTML to XML and then parsing that using pugixml, but I'm not fully sure if this approach is as efficient than, say, manually parsing the HTML.

I will ask a question and answer it, since it took me a long time to realize whats happening. Hopefully it will be useful to some.

Question: My Start Menu wont appear in Windows 10. What the fuck.

Answer: Your Start Menu app crashed. Restarting the PC will fix it. However, Microsoft has this new shut down system, where the PC doesnt actually shut down; it sort of hibernates, and all the Windows Apps have their state saved. The solution is to shut down your PC by pulling the plug, waiting a while, and plugging it back in. Yes, that the fucking solution. No, you cant turn off the option for Microsoft's new shut down, because the advanced Power Options crash at the same time as the Start Menu and it wont let you. No, you cant reinstall or relaunch the app manually, because LOL MICROSOFT.

Fuck.

I have a GIF I want to convert to a webm to use on a website. The problem is that I want the background of the webm to be transparent. Since to my knowledge webm doesn't support transparency, I figured that I could just make the video's background the same color as my site's background. Then I tried to edit the GIF's background, and I realized that GIF as a format doesn't support the color I need. Editing the background after I've converted the GIF to a webm seems to be pretty difficult as well.

How the fuck do I do this?

Any light on where I can find the answer to this?
int a = 5;
int* b = &a;
int* c = new int(5);
std::cout << b << std::endl; //0x7ffe05cccbd4
std::cout << c << std::endl; //0x1306c20

Why is the address of the first int twice as long as the address of the second int? Are they stored differently?

c is a 32 bit int

Muh' lecture slides say both b and c are pointers to ints.

new int(5) creates a 32 bit int, I don't know but I guess the unused bits in the variable c are trimmed when it is assigned.

They are the same size, check
sizeof(b) == sizeof(c)

The difference is b points to stack memory while c points to heap memory.

Stack memory seems to start at high address range at your computer while heap begins at low address range
