I have 8 WD drives 1TB-5TB, 1 Seagate and some Hitachi.
Only one WD and this Seagate have died, the WD dying in 2011 and Seagate sometime in 2015.

As for shitty tech, I've had a couple of shit cellphones. Then again at that time I could get away with just call & text. Didn't need an app ecosystem.

So why exactly do you think it's bad? Surely you knew that it's a barebones graphics card before you bought it? What were you expecting, a fucking Titan for £30? Are you a special kind of moron?
I used to work for a computer manufacturer and we used those exact cards for the purpose of testing systems that had no onboard graphics and no graphics card installed (e.g. barebones systems that we sold quite a lot of). They were basically bulletproof. And they're extremely affordable. So for the purpose they were designed for, they are absolutely adequate.

An Nvidia video card. Not trolling, not lying, dead serious here.
Early 2000s, bought it thinking it had to be better than the old one I had. Half-life ran way slower, and it was so dark that I couldn't turn my monitor up bright enough to see it (we used analog monitors back then, kids). I returned it immediately and never bought NVidia again.
This piece of shit is useless, even with loonix.
I thought about making a seedbox with it, but i don't really torrent that much.

There weren't proper smartphones except the iPhone at that time and even that was quite shitty (yes capacitive touchscreen but no videos until the 3gs). I had it for 3 years and was quite happy until android became popular. A friend of mine bought the first galaxy (Windows mobile) in the same period I bought it and while the galaxy looked better at first it turned into liquid shit soon, the 5800 was shit when I bought it but aged way better.
