I've not found anything that matches the ergonomics of this, with the same scroll wheel.
It keeps double-clicking every year months now and I keep fixing it.
Won't replace it until Logitech makes something similar that doesn't have a PoS scroll wheel.

Does anyone alter their DPI for different tasks? What's your normal, working time DPI? What about when gaming, do you switch things around depending on the game's genre? Got this bad boy (Abyssus 2014) through Amazon pricing glitch or something, to replace my old Gigabyte M6800. It's pretty comfy but the lack of side buttons is kind of annoying, and there is no rubber grip on the sides.

>>52700074
I leave my mouse at default DPI (800) for everything. The normal DPI or default depends on your mouse, but most of them are 800. Sometimes I change it to 1000 depending on the game.

To get the most accurate reading, you should set Windows mouse settings to halfway (I think it's 5/11) and the game's settings to halfway or tick 'raw input' so that there is no extra software acceleration or deceleration which would make it less accurate.
>>
can grab an fk2 for £26 or a g303 for £44.. is it really worth the extra 20?
>>
I got a CM Storm Xornet a few weeks ago off Amazon for ~$25 to replace my 8 year old MX518. I'm liking it so far, I think it fits my mouse-grip style better than the MX did and the sensor is bretty good too. It's a bare bones mouse that doesn't have any LEDs nor does it require any extra software which are both positive traits in my opinion.
>>

I have one of those. I stopped using it because I experienced connectivity issues where it would randomly start skipping and shit. I'm not sure if the mouse is defective or if my steel case and desk were interfering with the signal but it was only like 4-5 feet away from the usb dongle... I switched back to a wired mouse because I was tired of fucking with it. Even using a 4" usb extension cable to get the dongle a little farther away from the case didn't make any difference.

Which one is the best for CSGO/FPS games/comfyness out of these? Which one should I get?

>The one with the best shape
and which one would that be?
>>
>>52702558
Depends on your grip and hand size
>>
>>52702497

going just off of what I heard:

g303: best sensor, very small. might explode ur wrists unless you like small mice

dA: very big, very easy to click. great for giants with xboxhueg hands, otherwise one might not fancy the semi palm and fingertip grip a normal person using this mouse would tend to

ss rival: most like the intellimouse 3.0. If you liked that you'd have a soft spot for this mouse

zowie ec2-a: similar to intellimouse 3.0. lovers of old intellimouse would have a soft spot for this one. Also, lack of mouse drivers is a plus (however I don't really know the difference between zowie mice and may be thinking of anther model here, though I believe none of them have drivers regardless)

g502: very heavy. best sensor. greatest con I've heard of this is it looking like a spaceship, and perhaps complaints of one's accidentally pressing a specific side button in the way they naturally hold the mouse, but perhaps my memory's false and they were speaking of another mouse.

sorry for the shit feedback but I tried senpai

>>
>>52703107

yeah if that happens you warranty yourself a new one and wait for it to inevitably break just after the warranty expires

so far what I gathered is:

deathadder -> breaks easily, shit build quality, double click problem
zowie ec2 -> shit scroll-wheel and quality control
rival 300 -> shit software, shit side rubber, strange cursortwitch bug
g303 -> too small, strange shape
g502 -> not ergonomic, most expensive, strange button placing

so which one should I actually get?

How did you post this a mere eight seconds off from your post in the /r9k/ thread you made? Either post cooldown times are board-specific and I just never knew that or some serious samefagging bullshit is going down right now.

But that said I checked out the /r9k/ thread and everyone's recommending the Deathadder. Not sure what I expected.

they fixed this issue in the latest batches but its still kind of a lottery. Thats why i went for the G302 which has a slightly worse sensor but not that kind of problems.

I am pretty sure they fixed that issue with the newest batches, not 100% sure though. Besides buying a new one doesn't mean its going to be a fixed batch anyway, could be old stock.
>>
>>52697080
Yeah,I love the g500
I bought a g502 because the microswitches were having issues with static and had worn down. But I just didn't like the shape of the g502 as much, so I bought new microswitches and soldered them into the g500. Best decision I ever made.
>>
>>52703542

I don't think going for a mouse with an inferior sensor to avoid fixing a mouse with a superior sensor is a wise choice desu senpai.

If the sensor's still perfect then I guess it's a fine stance to take for a matter of principle, but still, you're still supporting the company if not the product itself.

Like my mice without leds or snake oil gimmicks . Any mouse with good sensor = good mouse . You only need high dpi for high screen resolution but always need high precision .

>You only need high dpi for high screen resolution

Actually I saw a video once of someone comparing something like 400 dpi x [high in-game sense] to like 1600 dpi x [low in-game sense to match speed of 400 dpi example], and their mouse movement was a lot smoother on the 1600 dpi setting. I think at a high dpi you send more inputs to the game or some shit, so mouse movement is smoother.

I bought a Utechsmart Venus because my shitty Corsair m90 had massive scroll wheel issues and I envied the Razer Naga' button layout. Other than the lack of aluminum frame, it's been a superior experience in every way, even the layout of the chink software.
>>
>>52703503
Dont worry about it doing that. Pretty sure that guy just got unlucky with a faulty sensor in general. It takes literally 5 minutes at most to fix it, thats if it even bothers you anyway.

Middle click on my 2013DA got fucky after 3 years, started double clicking and missing clicks but the rest of the mouse still works fine. Ran that thing through two pairs of skates on cloth mats. Don't give a fuck what you niggers think that was probably the best mouse I've ever owned. EC1-A came in yesterday, liking it so far.

If you just want a normal looking mouse that isn't a piece of shit, Deathadder or EC1-A. G502 is a brick that looks like a homosexual transformer.

Stop worrying about the look of the mouse. Mouses are designed to be used, not looked at. As far as I can see the G502 is excellent, though my G9x is still going strong so I don't have reason to get one yet.

Those tracking speeds listed are as fast as the mouse can go without losing accuracy when tracking. So yes, those mice are 100% accurate up to those speeds, in excess of those speeds then you have jumping around or other tracking issues

The main reason is that a braided cable is more rigid and generally thicker than a non braided cable. This creates additional cable drag, even if you have a bungee. Some of us go to great lengths to not have that additional cable drag, wireless mice notwithstanding.
