Most IEMs have felt discomfortable for me. My problem with IEMs is that my other ear canal is very tight. Those triple flanges would probably be excruciatingly painful for me judging by what I've heard about their fit.

Fiio E10k is a good combo amp/dac for $75-80, not sure about cheaper options than that. A Magni or Objective 2 is a step up if you want just an amp.
You don't need an external DAC unless you hear noise from your hardware. For this you can get the E10k as mentioned, or if you want to spend $200-300, O2+ODAC or Magni+Modi.

The bass is really bloated. Somehow it also makes guitars and electric guitars sound unnatural. The SE215 is fine for EDM and such, but I wouldn't touch it if I was a fan of rock, metal, country etc.
