Why would anyone buy a Fury X? An overclocked 980 Ti will wipe the floor with it consistently, even at DX12. Face it, Fiji was a flop.

Fiji was never meant to be the uber-fucker card. It was used as a real world test for hbm. I mean just look at it, its a beefed up variant of Tonga somewhat mixed with Hawai. Btw cant wait for Polaris to really show off what the 14nm finfet gpu with HBM2 can do

Spot on, it is a perfect tester for HBM. I would consider the fury x if it came with a fan cooler. Who would waste money on a stock water cooler.
I have one, got it for 965 SGD. Runs beautifully at 40°c most of the time even in game.

Get a Maxwell or buy a Hawaii. There's no way that a Fiji is worth the $100 price premium over Hawaii
