I appreciate that audacious switched back to gtk2 when they realized how shitty gtk3 was. By now you can already build it with qt5, so it's future proof.
It's my default application to open audio files, however I do have a separate player to browse my music library.

i'd run pic using wine or in some mini-windows-xp virtual machine if i'd have to switch to another platform just so i would have this perfection, music file organization through automatic scripted tasks etc
