The thing is the missiles aren't automated and if you hack in, you'd still have to convince a bunch of people to prep them and fire them.
These systems aren't connected to outside networks, like the internet.
Most of this is still running on 1960's technology.

The system isn't connect to the Internet, and a lot of it still requires human interaction. You can't just hack into the system and launch a nuke.

mission critical systems are airgapped and not connected to the internet.
there are a ton of security measures which cannot be disabled.

That happened in Iran once, it was a hacker group related to NSA but they just tried to fuck up their power plants, I'm sure if they wanted they could try to cause an explosion near some weapon storage or the likes.
