It looks like irssi is worth checking out- it certainly has that classic IRC feel. I'll also check out chatzilla and hexchat. Thanks for the opinions!

Not OP, but I do want to try Irssi, but I have a few usage questions.
How do you see which "tabs" you have open? Like, if someone PMs you it should open a new tab with private messaging with that user, or to monitor if someone highlighted you in a different channel.
How do you authenticate to Twitch chat with irssi?
Hexchat is the only option if your on Windows
