>eye have post vitrous detachment
>floaters everywhere, one big one in right eye, smaller on the left

No VR for me probably

I get glowing red dots in the centre of my vision and my minds eye at night.
Apparently my aura is purple
I have lots of floaters too, you get used to them. Someday I want to have them cleaned out, but I hear that can sometimes cause other complications so I've just been dealing with it.
>>52365378
You watch too much /tv/
That reminds me, how are they adjusting for prescriptions with the Rift? Do you wear your glasses under the headset (please fucking no)? Or is there a setting in the software where I can enter my prescription and the thing will compensate for it?
Not that it matters right now, I suppose. I mean, who's actually spending $600 on the thing when there's hardly any content worth playing on it?
>>52365405
You cant really clean them out. The only operation results in a near 100% chance to develop cataracts that you have to fix later. Not worth the risks
>>52365421
I only watch good shows
>>52365433
There are laser treatments for them now; don't ask me how they somehow manage to zap the floaters without harming the rest of your eye, but apparently it can be done. I'll probably have it attempted someday, maybe insurance will cover it if I claim it's disrupting my work; I've had times where I freaked out and starting swatting the air around me because I thought a bug was in my face and it was a floater; embarrassing to say the least.

Ok nice. My googlefu did not find this shit a year ago and the eye surgeon/doctor never even mentioned a procedure like this.
The LEH-Vitlase is only available privately. It costs £1,725 per eye at the London Eye Hospital.
Might get this done. Need to visit the UK anyways.

If you're too scared for a surgery that you don't urgently need, just wait a few years for medical technology to advance. You'll often find that surgeries become less invasive and many complications disappear, especially when it comes to eye shit
>>52365405
>you get used to them
no you don't.
few months ago they doubled in numbers and size, and now I notice them every single time I look at a white surface.
>>52367350
I find that turning my eyes back and shaking them helps sometimes. Some huge ones are pretty much always in my field of vision. No more clear blue skies for me. When its summer all the little ones are clearly visible against the sky.
>>52367350
not who youre responding to but i have a lot of floaters and spots some are pretty large and dark and you can get used to them
You have to put a leech on each eye and leave it on for an hour. It worked for me.
>>52367476
yeah moving your eye around does help if they're in the way, but for me, seconds later another one replaces it or passes though.
no escape.
It really sucks that you can't enjoy looking at clear skies.
>>52365378
Who here /strabismus/? I had surgery to get rid of it being so obvious but never got depth perception from it.
>>52368023
If I had a really bad case I would just focus on becoming an eye doctor or optometrist. Not to find a cure, just because it would be really hilarious or uncomfortable for patients.
>>52365431
>Or is there a setting in the software where I can enter my prescription and the thing will compensate for it?
That's not possible
I'm sure future HMDs will offer custom lenses for your individual eye sight though

The development kits came with multiple lenses, and it is pretty easy to go to your eye doctor to get some custom ones
