I have an old PC with just 2gb of ram on it and XP installed. I plan to use it ocasionally for my work (online casinos, downloadable version). I doubt this box will be able to run the java apps efficiently if I put any new Windows on it. Aight, so BASICALLY, either all browsers are shit and I need to kill myself, or I'm experiencing some weird hardware issue. Or maybe OS, but Win8 isn't THAT unstable.
I've tried both Firefox and Chrome for months, and both have CRIPPILING problems for me. For Firefox, it's a MASSIVE memory leak that is dependent on the number of tabs I open. I open 12 tabs, close them, and voila, 800mb of memory usage with nothing open.
Chrome is a bit different. Performance is great, but randomly (I think it has something to do with moving windows or something, not sure), Chrome freezes, then DWM freezes, then every single program + mouse freezes, and it just sits there like that for a good two and a half minutes before everything snaps back to working again.
So, if you know of what kind of hardware/software issue this is, let me know. If these kinds of glitches are documented, and the browsers are just shit, then can anybody send me any recommendations?

I use Plex to stream video from the second floor of a house, down to a PS3 in the basement. It works fine most of the time, but videos with a larger filesize and 1080p stuff causes slowdown.
The PS3 picks up the wifi well enough down there, there isn't anywhere in the house it can't reach. It's just the speed of the modem isn't all that hot. It's a cheapo $30 modem, so that's not a surprise. But I'm in the market for a new one, and I've got a few I'm considering.

I have a Logitech G400 and think it might be dying on me. My cursor has been temporarily freezing up on me. The duration and frequency seem to depend on what I'm doing. It usually happens and lasts the longest when I'm playing muh gayms, but it occasionally happens while I'm on 4chan or whatever. When it freezes, I'm still able to type (or move if I'm playing a game); the cursor just freezes for anywhere between 1 - 4 seconds. I plugged in a spare shit-tier mouse and the problem went away, so it's definitely something to do with the G400. What I want to figure out is whether the mouse itself is going to shit, or if it could possibly be something software-related. I'm not sure where to start troubleshooting. Any suggestions? I tried Google but I couldn't seem to find anything relevant.
