Upgrade on Monday edition
Because fuck you why not
>>52192773
>that cpu
>>52192801
My new parts are arriving Monday, I'm getting a 6600k
>>52192817
>>52192865
>6GB
nice triple channel
>>52192801
That cpu have almost 8 years and overclocked can keep up to a 150$ cpu today
>>52192928
No, it can't. I'm running it at 4Ghz right now and it really struggles in a lot of titles.
>>52192908
Ciao
>>52192884
you best be trolling nigger
>>52192952
4.6 GHz
>>52192985
first gen i-series support triple channel
...except a lot of the mobile ones. Shit
>>52192773
>nigger tier cpu
congrats
>>52192994
enjoy your 200W housefire
I've already bought a 6600k, bye AMD
>>52193002
jesus, ok troll, I'll bite.
>says dual channel
>only the x58 chipset officially supported triple channel.
3/10 responded.
>>52193026
I'm fucking retarded
>>52192817
>>52193016
>he bought a skylake K processor
didn't you get the memo you stupid fucks
>>52193045
acknowledging that is half the battle, anon.
>>52192979
Ciao
>>52193045
think more along the lines of 4GB stick and a 2GB stick.
>>52193058
I'll get a better overclock on the K processor. It's not like all the other SKUs are now unlocked, just you can increase the base clock instead of both the base and multiplier
>>52193087
>I'll get a better overclock on the K processor
No you won't. K aren't binned any better. The evidence for it is coming more and more.
>>52193114
Ah well. I literally work full time, so I can afford it.
>>52193073
>>52192865 here, this is exactly the case. It was originally a 4GB (2x2) machine, but I had a spare 4GB stick lying around and decided to swap it in.
>>52193154
only real advantage of K now is that overclocking is easier in bios since you don't have to mess with BCLK
>>52192773
I have all the ram going to run a virtual machine with windows server maybe another one. I need to get some certifications. I can't keep working in a fucking service desk.
>>52193208
Same man
Getting dat CCNA gratis, courtesy of my boss
>>52192817
Never trust a man that fucks traps.
>>52192773
why not
>>52193208
Dude wtf 800mhz RAM?
>>52193314
Did you crossfire those anon?
>>52192773
>Win10
>970
top kek OP
>Windows 7 Ready!
>>52193546
shit I didn't notice that, better take a further look why is
>>52195275
dual channel = 800 * 2
you have 1600
>>52193546
>>52195275
It's DDR memory, that stands for Double Data Rate. It runs at half the advertised frequency i.e. 1600MHz is actually 800MHz.
>>52193654
>Nvidia
>Crossfire
Even without that fuck up that's such a stupid question, it clearly says SLI enabled in the image and what sort of idiot would buy two identical cards and then not SLI/Crossfire them.
>>52195309
Channels have nothing to do with frequency.
Yeah why not
Should I just kill myself?
>>52192773
I'm borderling computer illiterate and i only have a PC because my cousin helped me get the parts.
I use it mainly for gaming.
Which parts should i upgrade/add ?
Oh god what is this?`
Do i need more RAM?
Would i be better off getting a second GTX 760 than a more powerful single card?
>>52196245
>borderling
Apparently i'm illiterate in general.
>>52196245
Why do you need to upgrade?
>>52196314
Are you saying i don't?
Idk, some games run kinda jaggy on higher settings.
What do you think i'll have to upgrade first in the future then, if that's a better way to ask?
>>52196395
I'm asking because the question "what do I need to upgrade means nothing without context, I play on a 4k screen with only a 980, but I only play wow from 2010 so I don't need a 980ti/980 sli.
If most games are stuttering at 1080 get a 380x, if you want to play on a resolution higher than 1080 go for a 390 so and so forth, easiest thing to do is to check what games you want to play at 60fps, then check the benchmarks for your resolution, obviously - don;t get the gpu that sits on 60 fps, get the one that does 80 or so etc.
also
>>logicalincrements.com
Good to be back to windows.
It's okay.
gpu is a 7970
How bad am I
>>52193208
whatchu need all that storage for m80
>>52200319
Too lazy to build my own, and even more so since nothing I could put together with a Skylake could beat the price I got this thing at.
inb4 shitty graphics--I only play League of Legends, osu!, and CS:GO
Just upgraded from a GTX 970 to a 980 Ti. Loving it so far.
Rate?
>>52193421
source?
>>52193114
considering that the K series tend to have higher clock speeds ootb. Especially the i7s, poor fucks who buy the i5s usually get the trash that couldn't be an i7
>>52200319
NIGGER WHAT THE FUCK
Got about £500 to upgrade my shit. Only things that don't need upgrading are the gpu and psu(750w). Need a new case, fans, cpu, mobo and (maybe) ram. What do you guys recommend I get?
Gonna wait and see what IREP has for its summer deal before I upgrade.
>>52192773
>Hitachi and Seagate
I see someone who doesn't like Western Digital
>>52202851
>inb4 shitty graphics--I only play League of Legends, osu!, and CS:GO
then why did you buy a fucking 6700?
some piece of shit a10 apu would play those games just fine
Just upgraded yesterday. $315.
Should I add the 2x2GB I got for free?
>>52192773
Here is my speccy.
>>52192773
Main Desktop
Laptop
muh temps
>>52204463
Get a xeon e3 1231 or 1241 v3, at least then you can most likely re-use your ram. Case wise you'll probably want a full tower for the best cooling so take your pic. For a mobo anything Z97 with dual PCIE so you can SLI in the future.
>>52196014
Why?
>>52192908
Dem VIA UniChrome S3 Graphics brings memories.
>>52196014
Found the negger
>>52200319
Did you get a hot deal on that thing?
