>tfw you buy a 2tb Seagate at bestbuy because its a cheap price for a 7200rpm drive
>tfw everyone on new egg says it dies 1 month after warranty expires
Should I just take it back and get a WD?
The best HDD is the one where you know exactly when it'll fail.

He ain't wrong
Just keep it until it dies and backup data which you dont want to lose, which is what you should do with every drive.
Speaking of seagates, older barracuda 7200.14 drives parked their heads aggressively and you could hear it very often. I recently got new 1TB Seagate manufactured just few months ago and looks like they have changed it, this drive doesnt park it's head aggressively, load/unload cycle value is same as startups for the drive.

Eh, probably not, but do make sure you back it up.
As you should with all drives, regardless.

That's the one I have
Damn should have just springed for the caviar black
My credit card company has 1 year warranty extension... I've gotten several hard drives reimbursed after manufacturer warranty expired
WD seems to be a better brand, if you want real long last HDD go with the black edition, but i just buy the blue edition cuz muh shekels
>WD
worse than Seagate
